Vijay Akshit Paul,
Academic Co-ordinator (Secondary Section)
“I am proud to be a part of the Taurian family. Our education methods are at par with global standards, and encompass various interactive methods of teaching. We believe in experiential learning. From audio-visual media, class lectures, practical experiments, on-field training like educational trips to workshops and interaction with peer groups from around the world, we push the boundaries of education so our children are prepared for higher levels of learning. The only difference between an ordinary and an extraordinary student is that little extra. And that comes from proper mentoring, guidance and support.”
At Taurian World School, the students are taught in a high-technology environment by subject specialists throughout the year. Every class is divided into sections (presently, we have 2 sections in grade 9 i.e. 9A & 9B and 3 sections in grade 10 i.e. 10A, 10B & 10C) to attain an optimum teacher-student ratio, which ensures greater individual attention.

Our secondary classes follow the Central Board for Secondary Examinations (CBSE) curriculum, and CCE is based on the CBSE requirements.
Our students go through rigorous mentoring through the secondary years with emphasis on public speaking and independent research works. This helps our students gain confidence, not only at the academic level but also at a personal level, so they are prepared for the senior years. At this level, the curriculum is designed to instill formal study skills and develop a sound foundation for the senior secondary years.
In Secondary sections, students get a stronger grasp of English Language through books and frequent usage. The faculty takes the responsibility to build students’ skills in reading, writing, grammar and other aspects of the language.
The syllabus for our national language has been designed to enhance a student’s reading and understanding skills, effective writing abilities, literature appreciation and grammatical proficiency. Our teachers take advantage of modern instructional methods to ensure proficiency in the world’s most widely spoken language.
As the students grow, they need a deeper and more conceptual understanding of mathematics and its basics. Hence Taurian World School teachers use technology and innovative practices in a rigorous curriculum to equip students to apply the subject better.
For subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, our teaching methods offer students the ability to access a wealth of knowledge that contribute to an overall understanding of how and why things work the way they do. We aim to provide visible proof of facts taught in the books.
Students are introduced to various aspects of Social Studies, including history, geography and civics. The subject makes them aware and conscious of the world they are living in, and the foundation stone of being a responsible citizen is laid.
Sanskrit is the most interesting and scientific language of the world. Acknowledging the relevance of the language, we have simplified the methods of teaching for easy understanding and applicability of the language in day-to-day life.
