Inter House Squash Tournament

Sport is an integral part of life at Taurian World School and we have a hard-won reputation for producing well-trained and competitive youngsters across all age groups.

Inter-House sports competitions are also an inherent part of school life with mixed years working together to develop and enjoy additional team experiences.

The main sports at TWS are football, cricket, basketball, athletics, lawn tennis, squash, table tennis, karate, and volleyball. Our on-site facilities include an outdoor swimming-pool, horse riding in 30 acres of playing fields and a superb sports-hall equipped with music and dance-studio in western and classical form.

The majority of students participate in our busy sports programme during the week and most Saturdays we have matches House wise, Hostel wise as well as Class wise.  They also play against top schools  of the city to develop their competition level.

In the past two weeks we conducted the Inter House Squash tournament, Inter House Basketball Tournament and Inter House Football Tournament (PRIMARY AND UNDER-14).

As we all know that, Squash is a racquet sport played by two (singles) or four players (doubles) in a four-walled court with a small, hollow rubber ball. The players must alternate in striking the ball with their racquet and hit the ball onto the playable surfaces of the four walls of the court. It can be played as a relaxing pastime or as a competitive sport and accommodates mixed teams as well as individuals. The sport “Squash” is a wonderful way to get in shape and stay fit and only a healthy and fit person may contribute a lot in the development of their country.  TWS provides ample opportunity to our students to develop physically, mentally and emotionally by playing various games and participating in competitions and understanding the value of sports in their life.
