Exposing Your Child To Leaders Can Help Broaden Their Outlook

There are innumerable attributes that go into the making of an outstanding leader.

An extraordinary leader guides through challenges, counsels by offering constructive solutions instead of playing the blame game, takes responsibility for everyone’s performance, is highly ethical and exudes confidence that is so contagious that others are automatically drawn towards him.

In pursuit of leadership…

To prepare students to be successful Leaders, you need to give students opportunities to perform as leaders. They could be peer counsellors, mediate for a group of students, welcome new students to boarding life, or plan and delegate activities for their group.

Various leadership positions in different domains of the school could be defined and designed enabling students to prove themselves as efficient leaders. These opportunities broaden the outlook of young minds and prepare them to take on the mantle of leadership.

Another powerful way to hone leadership qualities is to expose students to leaders in society by providing opportunities for students to listen and interact with leaders. Learning first-hand from the experiences of these leaders can help spark the desire to be leaders.

Exposure to Leaders…

To hone leadership qualities, students at the Taurian World School are given opportunities to not only perform as leaders at school but are also exposed to real world leaders, dignitaries and luminaires. Exposure is arranged through regular school visitations. This ensures learning through practical experiential learning as well as provides motivation via exposure to leaders.

The Late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, an inspirational President of India, the Missile man and a notable scientist and engineer won the hearts of our students not only for his erudite knowledge but for his simplicity and humility as a leader.

Mr. Naveen Chopra, Chief Operating Officer (COO), Vodafone, motivated our young minds on the climb up the corporate ladder.

Ms. Rashmi Tripathi, Joint Secretary & Regional Officer of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) spoke about education in today’s competitive world.

These and a host of top notch officials, sportsmen, talented musicians and leaders in different walks of life, have walked through the portals of TWS and inspired students towards the path of leadership.
