A trip to Gir National Park, Somnath Temple, Lothal the site of Harappan civilization and Historical monuments of Delhi was organized. 15 students from grades V to IX, accompanied by the Principal, Mr. D.R. Singh, Mrs Anita Mittal and the Tour guide went on this educative and fun filled trip. Students visited the Gujarat Science City in Ahmadabad and saw a display of varied projects and excellent presentations on the Universe, Earth and also took a thrill ride on “Mission to Mars.” They also visited the Harappan settlement at Lothal and saw the excavation and museum. The students also went for an early morning open jeep wildlife safari into the Gir National Park a semi arid region with Teak and scrub vegetation which is now the last place for the Asiatic lions. Later that evening the students visited Somnath temple and took part in the aarti. The Arabian sea coast beach alongside the temple was beautiful and students enjoyed the camel rides. The students also got to visit several historical places in Delhi, such as the Qutub Minar, India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhawan. They also enjoyed shopping at Janpath in Delhi.
