Grade VI & VII : Magical Maharashtra : Day 3

It’s day 3  for the group on Magical Maharashtra tour and the excitement keeps growing. After an early morning breakfast the group set out at 8:30am for a full day guided tour to  the world famous Ajanta Caves. The children enjoyed the climb up and down around 300 stairs while visiting 26 of the 30 caves which were age appropriate.

They were fortunate to meet a Monk, formerly a Physics Teacher in Thailand, who took interest to share more information about the fascinating Ajanta Caves. One of the caves drew much interest in the students as it depicted an Image of Buddha leaving this world with people on earth weeping while being welcomed by happy faces to his heavenly abode.

They had lunch at 2:30pm and enjoyed shopping in a market attached to the caves.  They left Ajanta Caves at 4:30pm and enjoyed some refreshments on the way and reached the hotel at 7:30pm.  They relaxed a while, came refreshed for dinner at 9:00pm and then retired for the night.
