In-House workshop on Story Telling and Positive Engagement

Two day workshop on Story Telling and Positive Engagement was facilitated by Ms. Ishita Ghoshal for Primary Teachers. On the first day Primary teachers participated in story telling with stick puppets, finger puppets, string puppets dressing up characters and picture books reading. The Teachers experienced how to lay stress on syllables to express emotions and feelings and modulate the voice to make stories appealing and memorable.

On the second day all members of the faculty attended the workshop on positive engagement in the classroom, where teachers participated in activities to engage higher order thinking of students and thereby reduce disruptive behaviour or disinterest in the classroom transactions. The teachers experienced the use of kinaesthetic, visual, auditory, musical, logical, interpersonal and intrapersonal faculties to use them best in the classroom. The teachers thoroughly enjoyed and learned as they delved into a host of activities.
