Coaching Clinic

It was a lucky day for the Basketball fans on 2^nd February 2018 when the Jr.NBA organized the Coaches Clinic at Taurian World School.

More than 100 youth coaches from around the state of Jharkhand had the opportunity to learn from the pros when Mr. Joel Yoba, Technical Director – NBA Basketball School from Cameroon conducted the training session which covered drills, skills and key principles for coaching youth basketball. Our school students too had an opportunity to meet him and get tips from him.

We appreciate our Basketball Coach Mr. Santhosh Kumar Singh for arranging such an initiative at our school campus.

The Reliance Foundation Jr. NBA program, is a comprehensive youth basketball training initiative by NBA in India that applies the values of basketball to positively impact the lives of Indian boys and girls and enables the students to develop basketball skills from the grass root level.

Returning to India for the sixth consecutive year, the expanded program expects to engage more than 4.5 million youth and 4,500 physical education instructors and coaches in 34 cities nationwide. The program focuses on inspiring youth to adopt a healthy, active lifestyle by integrating basketball into the physical education curriculum of the 4,500 participating schools.
