The students of class 8 enjoyed working in the maths lab where they got an opportunity to perform a paper cutting activity on the topic Algebra to verify the algebraic identity (a-b)^2, understand fractions and other important mathematical concepts practically.
The students were excited and enjoyed learning the basic mathematical concept. They were able to verify the algebraic identity and other concepts by paper cutting methodology. It helped to build interest and confidence in learning the subject. It provided greater scope for individual participation in the process of learning and becoming autonomous learners. It provided scope for greater involvement of both mind and hand which facilitate cognition. It also allowed and encouraged the students to think, discuss with each other and the teacher and to assimilate the concept in a more effective manner.
