Blood Donation Camp
As part of its continuous endeavour to serve society, Taurian World School, Ranchi, in association with Rotary Club of Ranchi South, organised a blood donation camp in the school campus on February 18, 2018 from 10.00 a.m. to 02:00p.m.
The camp was arranged by the 13 member team of Nagarmal Modi Seva Sadan, Ranchi in collaboration with Taurian World School and Rotary Club Ranchi South. A team of school’s NCC cadet volunteers from NCC Troop 379/19 (Army Unit) were present to motivate the parents present to contribute to the noble cause. There were posters and banners inviting people to become heroes by sparing five minutes for the lifesaving gesture.
School’s staff and sub-staff too donated, in turn inspiring others to do the same. The day witnessed 23 units of blood being donated.
Our Guest of Honor present at the occasion was Mr. Phuntsok Tashi, Project Director of Pestalozzi Dehradun who had worked with SOS Tibetan Children’s Village in Delhi, Dehradun and Nepal. A Graduate from Nottingham University, Londong, Mr. Tashi is currently helping upcoming projects in Nepal and India. Others present were our Principal Dr. Subhash Kumar, RTN. Mr. Asit Adhikari, Air Commando, Mr. Sanjay Kumar Dey – President Rotary Club, Mr. Arun Kumar Sinha – Director Rotary Club and other distinguished guests of the Rotary Club, Ranchi South.
