Communion – Year End Celebrations

Year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us.

On 26th February 2022, Taurian World School bid a befitting farewell to the year 2021-22 by organizing a Year end Celebration called “Communion” for all of its students which depicted a never-subsiding deep connection between the student, parent and their teachers.

The event was a cocktail of mixed programs; from reflections of the past year, Youth led programs to a variety of sport games for the parents.

First half of the program took place in the Assembly Hall which involved the Annual report of the Activities that took place throughout the year and Youth led programs while the Second half comprised of fun games, sports and horse riding campus for the parents and the students.

The celebration kick started with a hymn sung by Shine Henry and Sampoorn followed by storytelling by Primary students on the “Giving Tree” which showed that Parents will always be there and give everything they could just to make their children happy.

For cherishing the memories, video clippings showcasing various events that took place throughout the year ran as fillers.

Class VII enacted a drama Doctor-Doctor on the topic “Heart” which they have been studying and had gone beyond the syllabus to imbue themselves with knowledge of the heart and its various diseases and how to counteract them.

A Youth Leadership program was also conducted where the students of Grade IX assisted students of Grade V in their learning of the constitution.

An inspirational poem by  Rimil Pahan of Grade 5 followed the suite. Lakshendra and Aarjav of Grade 10 busted the myths and provided scientific basis behind many superstitions.

To understand the perspectives of the sportspersons, students enacted an interview of some famous sports personalities.

Ayaan of Grade 6, then mesmerized the audience with his guitar skills while Harshavardhan Das of Grade 1 showcased his cute dancing skills.

Then we had Dabeet Singh of Grade 4, showing an experiment that he learnt in the online classes.

As the magnificent Ted talks are spread across the world; we too had come up with our own version, “Taurian Talks” where Mannat Chauhan talked about “Parenting”.

This was followed by a adorable poem by Arsh Sahay of Grade 3. Aashvi Kashyap of Grade 5 made the audience skip a heartbeat by her enthralling dance moves while Sampoorn Mukherjee of Grade 5, enacted a story using puppets and sung a medley too.

The parents and the students relished a sumptuous food out in the open ground while they participated in the various fun games, sports and horse riding planned for them.

All the parents, students and the staff enjoyed the event and the funfilled day concluded with special wishes from the School Principal
