END OF UNIT CELEBRATION : 24-06-2017
‘Celebrate what you have accomplished , but raise the bar a little higher every time you succeed’
It was a joyous moment to witness the 1st “End- Of-Unit Celebration” which was hosted on 24th of June, 2017.The amazing overview of the first unit was shared and celebrated along with the parents.
The event was beautifully compared by Pearl Shreya Paul, Sayed Ali Abraham, Veer Sarawgi and Caroline A David of grade 5. The program started with the lighting of lamp by the Principal Sir Dr.Subhash Kumar and the Primary Coordinator Ms. Swati Sarkar.
The youngest members of the school, LKG started the program, sharing their learning on different types of Homes and Houses and why we need a house. Then they entertained everyone with a rhyme on different features of a house.
We at Taurian World School have our own ways to introduce to our little angels the primary colours. So our team left a long lasting impression of red colour on the little minds of LKG and UKG by celebrating Red Day, simultaneously. They also got an opportunity to present their learning experience on the first unit which was – Our body is amazing and we need to take care of it.
Grade 1 came next with an explanation of their unit on Plants, Animals and Humans. They performed role play to show interdependency between plants, animals and human beings.
Students of Grade 5 took us back to Indus Valley Civilization through a skit further they presented a Hindi drama on the story of “Chandragupta Maurya”.
Grade 2 has been learning about Community Needs. They came up with another lively performance “Naya Savera’’– sharing the Hindi lessons.
With a strong message Grade 4 came up presenting different religion and a silent skit on “Diversity Unified”.
Grade 3 put the stage on fire with their thundering performance about the learning of formation of universe, Earth and how changes on Earth affect living being.
The celebration was concluded with the inspiring words by the Principal Sir Dr. Subhash Kumar followed by Primary Coordinator, Ms. Swati Sarkar and her words of heartfelt gratitude for each and everyone.
Post celebration, all parents moved to the Primary corridor for a sumptuous lunch, hence it was another memorable day in the Taurian Calendar!
