Grade IV & V : Golden Triangle Tour – Day 1 and 2

“GOLDEN TRIANGLE TOUR”

The youngest group of Taurian set out for the “Taurian Discover India Programme” on 23rd March after a thunderous Departure ceremony and blessings from the school. The children accompanied by the three teachers- Ms Swati Paul, Ms Taniya Ghosh and Mr Rajesh, boarded the Indigo flight at 2:00pm to Delhi and reached at 3:50pm.

Day 1: 23-03-2017 – After landing at Delhi Airport, they boarded the Bus for an onward Road journey to Agra via Yamuna Expressway. They were served light snacks at 4:30pm. Children were delighted to get the food of their choice for Dinner at a Food Court. The reached Agra late at night and sent straight away to their rooms to retire for the night.
Day 2 : 24-03-2017 – The started with a team briefing just before breakfast at 8:30am where they were told about the Agenda of the day along with some guidelines to keep in mind. The children had a buffet breakfast in the hotel food court. The smiles on their faces is a reflection of how much they enjoyed their food. After breakfast everyone set out for Fatehpur Sikri. The children were in awe after seeing the sprawling masterpiece. They were shown the palaces of the three wives of Akbar. They were also informed about the significance of the two Darbars – Diwan – E- Khas and Diwan – E – Aam.

The guide explained to them the purpose of each construction. The children were very curious and astonished to see such a huge construction made 100 of years ago. They asked various questions from the guide and intently noting down the information.

After Fatehpur Sikri, the children came back to the hotel for a sumptuous buffet lunch. After resting for 45 minutes, the group started for the second part of the visit to Agra Fort which again took them by surprise. The master construction of the fort built on the sprawling grounds was breath taking and made them curious. They could see the glimpse of Taj Mahal from the first floor. Kids were fascinated by the optical illusion of Finding Taj Mahal look bigger as they moved away from it.

After the fun and informative day, they were taken to the state owned Emporium where they bought some marble accessories including minitures of the Taj Mahal. On their way back to hotel they were served veg and non veg burgers from MacD.

On reaching Hotel, they had fun with their friends and got time to unwind. At 8:00pm, students as per their room groups were asked to present in two minutes the events of the entire day. It was great to see groups coming up with innovative ideas to present. One of the groups presented in the form of News Broadcast where their members were reporters from different places they visited today. Another group divided the events amongst themselves and took turn to present before everyone. The purpose of the presentation was to make students recall and remember their day along with making them confident in presenting before a gathering.

The day ended with their much awaited food- chicken butter masala along with naan, rice, veg munchrian, noodles, etc.

They will start their day tomorrow, 25th March, 2017 by visiting the Taj Mahal.
