Grade VIII : Field trip to Taurian Organic Farm
Grade VIII – Field trip to Taurian Organic Farm
At Taurian we understand when students are given opportunities to learn in authentic situations on campus the learning becomes significantly more powerful. With this in mind, Mr. Himanshu Gupta, Science Teacher took the Grade VIII-B students on a field trip to our organic farm to learn about the various agricultural practices such as soil preparation and tools used in agriculture which forms part of their lesson on crop production.
By engaging the students in this formal, guided, authentic, and real-world experience, they got a better understanding of the concepts of agricultural practices and crop production. They were also able to support the construction of new understandings, and extend their learning back to the classroom.
