Iftaar Party 2017
Taurian World School has always been open to diverse cultures where children of all sects & religions, come, study and eat together as well as respect each other’s emotions. Right from the day your child joins our school; their hearts are inscribed with the importance of respecting each other’s thoughts and actions. We know that we have to bring up our young generation to think and speak respectfully of other religions and their followers.
Ramadan is a month of celebration and social solidarity and since Eid is just around the corner; our school too decided to join hands in acknowledging this holy festival. As you all know, Ramadan is a month of renewal and forgiveness, a month when Muslims experience hunger, a month to experience nearness to God, a month to show togetherness; what better way to put this in action than to hold an Iftar Party.
An Iftaar Party was organized at our school campus as a hostel activity on 23rd June 2017 where the staff & students joined their Muslim friends and ended their fast with traditional food followed by Eid Dinner. Our Muslim staff also gave peace messages to foster unity among Islam and other religions of the world through education. It was a good occasion for people of all faiths to come together and celebrate together.
Let’s hope that this ‘expression of esteem and friendship’ may spread all over, especially in the hearts of every person.
