Primary School Red Color Day celebration :: 1st May 2018
Red Color Day
Can we imagine the world without colours? Not at all! Nature itself has many colours, which makes the world look beautiful. Colours are indeed the smiles of nature. With this objective the students from LKG to grade 1, celebrated “Red Day” on, Tuesday, 01 May 2018.
The ‘Red Day’ celebration was a wonderful learning activity which helped children to understand the concept of Primary Colours. Red colour also signifies Love and Compassion.
To mark this day very special, students and the teachers were dressed in red clothes. Classes were decorated with red balloons. Students actively participated in “Show and Tell “activity. Each of them got an opportunity to speak about their favourite red object. After that, they had palm printing activity. Everyone enjoyed colouring and printing their own hands.
The celebration continued on the next day (2nd May 2018) as well where the entire Primary Team was involved in a variety of activities. Students from Grade LKG – I enjoyed making and tasting Watermelon salad whereas students from Grade II – V enjoyed making Watermelon pudding. They learnt the names of different ingredients for salad and pudding preparation.
Next, we had watermelon volcano activity. The amazing effect of vinegar, soda, liquid soap and red colour was demonstrated in the outer part of the water melon. Students were very eager, curious and enthusiastic about everything, happening at that moment.
At the end of the day, they expressed their understanding and observation in the reflection sheet.
Overall, it was a fun and everlasting learning experience for the students.
