Taurian World School Celebrates Successful Investiture Ceremony
INVESTITURE CEREMONY
We are delighted to present to you a report on the Investiture Ceremony that took place today, 1st July 2023, in the school campus. The ceremony was a significant event in which the new student council members were officially appointed and bestowed with their badges, symbolizing their roles and responsibilities for the Academic Year 2023-24. The ceremony was conducted with great enthusiasm, grace, and pride, reflecting the school’s commitment to nurturing leadership qualities in our students.
The program commenced with a majestic procession by the School Student Council. The Council members walked in perfect harmony, representing the unity and determination they possess. The procession set the stage for a memorable event.
Following the procession, the ceremony commenced with the Lighting of the Lamp by the esteemed Principal Dr. Subhash Kumar, and the School Coordinators. This ritual symbolizes the enlightenment of knowledge and the pursuit of excellence.
The ceremony proceeded with a Special Prayer, which invoked blessings for the success and well-being of the student council and the entire school community. The serene atmosphere was further enhanced by the soulful rendition of the hymn “Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace” by the talented school choir. Their melodious voices filled the air, touching the hearts of everyone present.
Next, Principal Dr. Subhash, delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the importance of leadership and the valuable role played by the student council in the school’s development. The Principal’s words resonated with the audience, instilling a sense of pride and responsibility in the newly appointed council members.
The Senior School Representative Council Members were then called upon to receive their badges. With a sense of accomplishment and honor, they stepped forward one by one, receiving their badges from the Principal, School Coordinators and Senior Teaches. This moment marked the official recognition of their leadership roles within the school.
Subsequently, the Senior SRC Members stood together to recite the Pledge, demonstrating their commitment to uphold the values and ethos of the school. The collective recitation of the Pledge created a sense of unity and purpose among the students, staff, and parents present.
Following the Pledge, the School Captain for the Senior School Aveek Basu, delivered a powerful and heartfelt speech. His speech resonated with the audience, inspiring everyone to strive for excellence and make a positive impact on the school and society.
Once again, the school choir graced the ceremony with their angelic voices, presenting the hymn “As the Deer Pants for Water.” Their performance was a testament to the talent and dedication of the students, leaving everyone captivated and moved.
The Junior School Representative Council Members were then invited to receive their badges, signifying their transition into leadership roles within the school community. Each member approached the stage with enthusiasm, showcasing their eagerness to contribute and make a difference.
Similar to the Senior School, the Junior School Captain Aayu Kumar, delivered an inspiring speech. His words resonated with the younger students, motivating them to embrace leadership opportunities and strive for excellence in all their endeavors.
The ceremony culminated with the entire school singing the School Anthem, expressing their pride and unity. The resounding voices echoed through the campus, reinforcing the school’s values and spirit.
In conclusion, the Investiture Ceremony held today was a grand success. It was a testament to the school’s commitment to fostering leadership skills in our students.
