TWS First Test Match : 14th – 16th April 2017

First Taurian Cricket Test Match was held from 14^th – 16^th April, 2017 on our cricket grounds.

The match was between North XI  Vs. South XI.  The toss was won by South XI who decided to bowl first.

The first Taurian Cricket Test Match winner was North XI.  They won the match by 5 wickets. The Best Batsman was awarded to Himraj who scored a total 109 runs and took 2 wickets. The Best bowler was awarded to Sanket Kumar and Harsh Patel who took 5 wickets each.

1^st Innings:

North XI made 198 runs for 8 wickets in 32 overs.  Aditya Raj made 44 runs followed by Somya Vardhan with 39 runs. South XI bowling figures were:

Harsh Patel                  8 overs    – 35 runs – 2 wickets

Himraj                         8 overs    – 40 runs – 1 wicket

Rohit Raj                     8 overs    – 32 runs – 2 wickets

South XI made 150 runs for 8 wickets in 32 overs.  Himraj made 48 runs followed by Royal Priyanshu with 17 runs.  North XI bowling figures were:

Aditya Raj                    6 overs    – 24 runs – 1 wicket

Sanket Kumar              7 overs     – 40 runs – 2 wickets

Somya Vardhan           7.3 overs  – 30 runs – 1 wickets

2^nd Innings:

North  XI made 147 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs.  Adarsh made 39 runs followed by Dhananjay Kumar with 31 runs.  South XI bowling figures were:

Harsh Patel                   4 overs – 35runs – 3 wickets

Himraj                          4 overs – 20 runs – 1 wicket

South  XI  made 150 runs for 5 wickets in 17.3 overs. Himraj made 61 runs followed by Amit Kumar with 41 runs.  North XI bowling figures were:

Sanket Kumar              4 overs – 28 runs – 3 wickets

Somya Vardhan            5 overs -30 runs  – 1 wicket
