Independence Day Celebrations by Primary Students
Independence Day is the celebration of our country’s freedom achieved from the British rule on 15th August, 1947. Every year, this day is commemorated by Indians all over by hoisting the national flag followed by parades and a variety of events. This year also, citizens around the country celebrated the country’s 74th Independence Day but, with a little twist. Owing to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic and various limitations and restrictions on public gathering, it was celebrated virtually all over.
Taurian World School also celebrated the day of freedom keeping all the rules in mind of social distancing. The In-house staff and students hosted the celebration on the school premises which was live telecasted on the Facebook page of TWS and students and staff also joined the programme virtually through the usual platform they meet for their online classes.
Various different competitions were also organised by the school where all the students were given a chance to showcase their creativity and dedicate the day to the ones who sacrificed their lives for our country. The winners were also awarded online certificates which really helped them all to stay encouraged in these tough times.
