Grade 5 – Skeletal System

Students of Grade 5 under their current unit – ‘Body system’ have been exploring the structure and function of the human skeleton under the guidance of their teacher, Taniya Ghosh. The working of the system was introduced by sharing a video on skeletal system where they came to know about the various parts of a human skeleton and their main functions. They then visited the biology lab to observe the model of the human skeleton to know the exact structure of the same. They were amazed to know how many different kinds of bones are present in the human body and how accurately they are placed to make sure they fulfill the required function. They were then asked to fill up a reflection sheet where they expressed their understanding and shared their opinions on this whole pattern of learning.
