Grade IX : Uttaranchal Escapade
The Uttaranchal Escapade Tour for Grade IX students began on 27th March, 2017. After arriving Delhi safely at 15:55 they checked into Hotel Saptagiri, had free time to unwind and relax. At 9:30pm there was a happy exchange of greetings with the juniors who had just checked into the same hotel on return from their Golden Triangle Tour. There was a lot of excitement and sharing of experiences as they dinned together.
On Tuesday, 28th March, 2017 the students went on a guided tour of the capital city. They were accompanied by the Grade IV & V students who went on the Golden Triangle Tour. They visited the Qutub Minar and Lotus Temple and were given a brief history of the monuments. Then they saw India Gate and had lunch at Andhra Bhawan. Post lunch they went to Rashtrapati Bhawan, Parliament House, Prime Minister’s residence and different embassies in Shanti Path. They returned to the hotel in the evening, had some time to relax, freshen up and then enjoyed a buffet dinner.
On Wednesday, 29th March 2017, after breakfast, they set out for Haridwar. They arrived Rishikesh safely and checked into Hotel Brinjal Clarks Inn, Haridwar in time for lunch. Post lunch they went to Har Ki Pauri Ghat and saw the Ganga Temple and Arati. After that they enjoyed a stroll in the cool evening breeze, saw the Clock Tower and then returned to the hotel for dinner and retired for the day.
