Janmashtami, the celebration of Lord Krishna’s birth, was observed on Monday at Taurian World School with a difference.
The boarders followed the Gandhian philosophy who believed that ‘Work is Worship’ and Shramdaan is essential for wholesome development.
The boarders took the brooms in their hand and headed to clean the stables and the dairy farm.
Later they cleaned themselves and had a special lunch organised in the Primary corridor.
In the evening, the staff and the students thronged the Assembly Hall to get a glimpse of Lord Krishna and offered their prayers followed by Bhajan Sandhya by the Music Department.
