CROP PRODUCTION

Farmers hold the backbone of Agriculture system. As it is common knowledge that for a country to progress the gross domestic product should be reasonable, agriculture is one of the important part. Agriculture enables people to surplus food.

Class 8 students were having the chapter ” CROP PRODUCTION ” where they were supposed to study some common methods of crop production that should be followed step by step. These methods included right from preparation of soil to storage . In this context our students had taken a small initiative where they were suppose to make use of their garden area in growing some plants that can produce some food.

This activity was fun for them and it really went well. Children were so engrossed in preparations of soil, choosing the right seeds, manuring them and using the right tools for cutting and digging. However any activity is incomplete if there’s no challenge.

They also came across some challenges like unwanted small plants that grew along with their main plants. Some of the plants were attacked by the fungus. So what could be right option and how can they be resolved? Well knowing about weeding and using the weedicides and fungicides in right amount could solve their problems.

The whole idea of the agriculture systems was actually understood by this activity.

It is rightly said that
