International Day of Yoga

Since its inception in the year 2015 by our Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, The International Day of Yoga is celebrated on 21st June every year. Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help in our well-being.

8th International Yoga Day was celebrated at Taurian World School, Ranchi with great enthusiasm. The Parents, Students and Staff actively and devotedly demonstrated different yoga asanas instructed by our Yoga Teacher Mr. Rahul Kumar. The yoga teacher explained the importance of each asanas simultaneously.

Later another session of yoga was conducted for the students of Parasnath School, who visited our campus along with their teachers.

The celebration concluded with the speech by our Principal, Dr. Subhash KUmar. He encouraged the students to practice regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration. Regular practice of yoga will surely help our students achieve a better life, physically, mentally and spiritually as well.
